Science Club (A.P.J. Abdul Kalam)
With the objective in mind to inculcate practical skill alongwith theoritical aspect we developed a Science Club in our school.It is named after our great scientist and former president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam as A.P.J.A. Kalam Club. The members of this club are the students of this school.The students are also given the post of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasures.The fee per month per student is Rs.15/-.The activities being decided to be done in the club include essay writing competition, quiz competition, excursions, demonstration, drawing competition, project making etc.Memeber participate in Children's Science Congress every year organised by NCSTC, New Delhi and sponsored by Haryana Vigyan Munch. Students prepare projects based on survey reports. During session 2007-2008 a team including Nisha from class 8th as Leader and Rajni, Pankaj, Vasu, Sakshi as memebers prepared project on title"Local Medicinal Plants". They won at District level then state level and went to national level at Pune. During session 2008-2009 they won and went to state level. During this session they made project on "Awareness about waste" in school campus. Reena was leader and Vishal, Mohit, Anjali and Anuradha were members. Students learn how to interact with society and its members.Every year we organise these competitions on specific days like Environment Day, Earth day,Science day, B'days of scientists. Rallies to aware common man towards environment are organised timely. Exhibitions and fairs are organised to develop presentations skill with creativity.
Keeping this in mind, the Department of Science Club was established in Universal Public School .
The Department of Science club at Universal Public School is headed by Ms. Shahina and comprises of a dedicated team of Faculty members teaching the following Subjects:

Apart from the regular curriculum, the Department of Science Club organizes guest lectures for its students by eminent scholars.
